Quick help

How does Local mode work?

Local mode needs no registration or Server token. On iPhone, iPad and Mac, changes are saved on the device immediately, so the app remains usable without a connection.

In a web browser, Local-mode tasks stay in that browser only. Clearing the browser's site data removes them, so export a JSON copy before clearing or replacing the browser profile.

How does automatic iCloud sync work?

In the native Apple app, Local-mode tasks synchronize through your private iCloud database when iCloud is available. Use the same Apple Account on each device. No Loop account or sync button is required.

Sync is asynchronous and may take a short while. Keep both devices online, open Loop on each one, and check the status in Settings. Offline changes remain on the device and are sent when connectivity returns.

iCloud sync does not connect the native Local list to the web or Telegram list.

What should I do if two Apple devices show different lists?
  1. Confirm that both devices use the same Apple Account and have iCloud available.
  2. Update Loop to the latest version on both devices.
  3. Open Loop on both devices while online and allow the sync status to finish.
  4. Avoid deleting and reinstalling the app while it is still reconciling changes.

If the lists still differ, contact support with the Loop version/build from Settings, device models and iOS/iPadOS versions. Do not send a Server token.

What is a Server token?

A Server token is an optional credential for a free server-stored Loop list that can be used on supported surfaces. It is not a purchase, subscription or payment code. The Apple app works without it.

Keep the token private. Loop cannot recover a lost Server token if no signed-in device remains. Never include it in a support message.

Are Local and Server tasks the same list?

No. Local/iCloud storage and Server mode are separate storage modes. When a device first enters Server mode, Loop may offer a one-time import of local task definitions. It does not silently combine the two lists.

How do I back up or move my tasks?

Open Settings → Data. Download/Export creates a JSON file through the native share or save dialog. Upload/Import reads a compatible Loop JSON file. Review the confirmation carefully before replacing an existing Local list.

How do I delete my data?

Delete individual tasks in the task interface. In Server mode, Settings → Delete server data permanently removes the Server token and the server account's data. Local browser data can be removed through the browser's site-data controls.

Deleting the Apple app does not automatically remove its private iCloud data. You can manage that copy in the iCloud storage settings for your Apple Account. See the Privacy Policy for the complete storage and deletion description.
