Terms of Use

Möbius Loop is a free beta. Local mode is open to everyone; server accounts are personal and invitation-only. These terms apply to the web app, the Telegram Mini App, and the iOS app (including the iPad app on Apple Silicon Macs). By using the service you agree to the following.

As-is, no warranty

The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. Features, availability, and behavior may change or break without notice while in beta.

Local data and durability

In Local mode (no Server token) your tasks stay with the surface you use. In the browser they live only in that browser's local storage: clearing your browser data, switching browsers or devices, or a storage eviction will permanently delete them. In the iOS app they live on the device and, when iCloud is available, sync automatically between your own Apple devices. In Telegram they live in your Telegram CloudStorage. Export anything you care about if you rely on it.

Task limit

Every storage mode — browser Local, iOS, Telegram, and server accounts — holds up to 100 tasks. Creating or importing more is refused until you delete a task; a Server token changes where tasks are stored, never how many you can have. (An iCloud merge of tasks created offline on different devices may temporarily exceed the limit; those tasks are preserved, and creating new ones stays paused until the count is back under it.)

Invited accounts

Server accounts are accessed with a Server token — the only server credential there is. Keep it safe: there is no account recovery. If you lose the Server token and every signed-in device, the account and its data are permanently out of reach — for you and for us (accounts are pseudonymous, so we cannot verify ownership or restore access). You can replace the Server token in Settings at any time; replacing it signs out all other devices. Accounts unused for more than 12 months are deleted. You can delete your account and all its data in Settings at any time. Back up important data with the JSON export in Settings — this is still a beta, not long-term durable storage.

Telegram

Möbius Loop is also available as a Telegram Mini App. When you use it, Telegram's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy apply in addition to these terms. In this variant, your tasks are stored entirely in your Telegram CloudStorage rather than on our server (see the Privacy Policy). Because we do not host, control, or have access to the Telegram CloudStorage architecture, we expressly disclaim any liability for data loss, synchronization issues, or unauthorized access that may occur within the Telegram ecosystem. Using Telegram is entirely optional; the web version is available as a robust alternative.

iOS app and iCloud

The iOS app stores Local-mode tasks on the device and syncs them automatically through your own private iCloud (CloudKit) database when an iCloud account is available (see the Privacy Policy). Synchronization is best-effort: it may be delayed, and concurrent edits of the same task on different devices are resolved automatically and deterministically — without asking which version to keep. iCloud is operated by Apple under your agreement with Apple; we do not host or control it and are not liable for iCloud outages, delays, or data loss inside Apple's infrastructure. iCloud sync is not a backup product — use the export in Settings for backups. If iCloud is unavailable, the app keeps working with on-device data.

The iOS app also offers an optional Server mode. Entering a valid Server token switches the app from the Local/iCloud list to the separate list stored under that server account. Existing Local/iCloud tasks remain in Local/iCloud storage; Loop copies them to Server mode only if the user separately confirms the offered import. A Server token is a free access credential, not a purchase, subscription, payment code or digital-content entitlement. Local mode remains available without registration or a token.

If we shut the service down

We may discontinue the beta or the whole service. Because accounts are pseudonymous, we cannot notify you personally — notice is given as a banner in the app and on the site at least 30 days in advance. During that period the JSON export remains available. After it, all server data, including backups, is permanently erased.

Acceptable use

Don't abuse the service: no automated flooding, scraping, denial-of-service attempts, or attempts to bypass rate limiting or guess Server tokens. Don't publish your Server token. We may block access or revoke Server tokens for accounts or IP addresses that do this.

Changes

These terms and the service itself may change at any time during the beta, without prior notice.
